As we’re now exactly one month away from the conclusion of Ti West’s X and Pearl trilogy, MaXXXine, I must confess to being pretty upset with the director. The first two movies were shot back-to-back and thus were released fairly close together, establishing one of the best 1-2 punches ever in horror history. And then he made us wait so damn long for the finale that he simply has to be called out for this torture. Don’t let it happen again, Ti.
Mia Goth returns as aspiring Hollywood starlet Maxine Minx. Set in the 1980s, Maxine has actually made it to L.A., where she becomes involved in a series of murders of women a lot like her.
The newly-released trailer for MaXXXine takes us deeper into this seedy Hollywood mystery, where Maxine may or may not have seen the Devil? And is the real-life killer known as the Night Stalker the culprit? Or is it Maxine herself? Can someone who has seen as much violence as Maxine truly come away undamaged?
