Box Office: ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ And ‘Violent Night’ Carry A Quiet Post-Thanksgiving Weekend

  1. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever– $17.5M/$393.7M

For the fourth week in a row, Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever held on to the top spot. Even on a quiet post-Thanksgiving week it managed to snag $17.5M, bringing the domestic total to $393M. Worldwide it has risen to $733M.

2. Violent Night (review)- $13.3M

The film I thought might push Black Panther out of #1, Violent Night, still managed to perform well with a $13.3M debut. The R-rated holiday action-comedy finds David Harbour suited up as Santa Claus who brings the pain more than he brings Christmas gifts for the kiddies. Considering it comes from the folks behind John Wick and Nobody, I’d be shocked if this wasn’t the start of an action franchise.

3. Strange World– $4.9M/$25.5M

4. The Menu– $3.5M/$24.7M

5. Devotion– $2.7M/$13.8M

6. I Heard the Bells– $1.8M/$2.5M

7. Black Adam– $1.6M/$165.1M

8. The Fabelmans– $1.2M/$5.5M

9. Bones and All– $1.1M/$6M

10. Ticket to Paradise– $849K/$66.5M
