Marvel’s Kevin Feige Teases Future MCU Plans For Eros And The Young Avengers

I will go much further into this in a future podcat, but one of the amazing things about Marvel’s overloaded panel at Comic-Con this year is how much they didn’t reveal. There’s a lot that we’ve heard about, and just as much that we’ve seen teased in various MCU projects, that Marvel’s Kevin Feige failed to mention. So of course, he’s going to get asked about it.

Feige revealed the MCU’s future all the way up through Phase 6, and while there are a lot of open slots, one project fans were hoping to see is Young Avengers. With the introduction of Cassie Lang/Stature and her emergence in Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania, plus the introductions of Kate Bishop in Hawkeye, Eli Bradley in Falcon & the Winter Soldier,  Speed and Wiccan in WandaVision, and America Chavez in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, this seemed like a given. But when asked about it by MTV, Feige was tight-lipped…

We’ve got…we’re sort of reminding people of all the amazing characters that we have introduced in Phase Four, and sort of where those characters go and how they form their own cliques.”

One of the characters with a key spot in the opening sizzle reel that Marvel showed was Eros, played by Harry Styles at the conclusion of Eternals. The mixed response to that movie might halt any talk of a sequel, but Eros definitely will be seen again…

The adventures of Eros and Pip is something that is very exciting for us.”

Marvel has a lot on its slate, but the overall tone of the panel was moving forward. Not necessarily a passing of the torch, but introducing the next wave that will carry the MCU for many years to come.
