Marvel fans who are distressed their favorite Netflix shows are now gone from the streamer can relax. It’s now official: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, and The Defenders will be available to stream on Disney+ beginning March 16th.
Now the greatness that is Finn Jones can be introduced to a whole new audience! No?
The shows had been extremely popular as Netflix Originals beginning in 2015 with Daredevil. They concluded in 2019 as Marvel Television was folded and Kevin Feige’s Marvel Studios began producing their own steaming content for Disney+.
Contractually, Marvel Studios was unable to use the Marvel Netflix characters for two years after the last series was canceled.
As part of this move, Agents of SHIELD will also be part of the Disney+ lineup.
This begs the question: Does this make the Marvel Netflix shows part of the MCU? Vincent D’onofrio’s Kingpin has already been seen in Hawkeye, along with Charlie Cox’s Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
