Sasha Calle Joins Mike Flanagan’s Star-Studded ‘The Exorcist’ Cast

Mike Flanagan is putting together a powerhouse cast for his new chapter in The Exorcist saga, and now he’s adding someone who has played a Kryptonian powerhouse on the big screen. Sasha Calle, who played Supergirl in The Flash, has joined Scarlett Johansson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, and Jacobi Jupe, according to Deadline.

Details on Calle’s role are unknown, as the film remains shrouded in mystery as it shoots in New York. What we do know is that it won’t be a sequel to 2023’s Exorcist: Deceiver, but will tell a story set in the franchise’s universe. Flanagan took over with this new installment after David Gordon Green’s film, the start of a planned trilogy, failed to meet expectations.

Calle is best known for playing a version of Supergirl in DC’s The Flash. She was most recently seen alongside Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in The Rip. She was also terrific in the Sundance Award-winning drama, In the Summers, so don’t miss her in that.

Flanagan’s The Exorcist will hit theaters on March 12th 2027.
