It’s a double dose of Vince Vaughn in Hulu and 20th Century Studios‘ genre-bending sci-fi action-comedy Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice, which fits because we haven’t seen as much of the actor lately. The R-rated film from writer/director BenDavid Grabinski stars Vaughn alongside James Marsden, Eiza Gonzalez,Keith David, Jimmy Tatro, Stephen Root, Lewis Tan, Ben Schwartz, Emily Hampshire and Arturo Castro.
Vaughn plays two versions of Nick, because yes, there’s time travel shenanigans afoot as a pair of gangsters try to survive “the most dangerous night of their lives” alongside the woman they love.
Grabinski isn’t a well-known filmmaker, but his credits include writing the Jackie Chan/Johnny Knoxville action-comedy Skiptrace, and directing the Joel McHale actioner, Happily. But Grabinski is perhaps best known for his work with Edgar Wright on the animated Scott Pilgrim Takes Off series, as well as the 2019 revival of Are You Afraid of the Dark?
Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice streams to Hulu on March 27th, and will have its world premiere at SXSW at on March 14th.
