“Stand-up comedy is the most gangster art form in the world.” So begins the recent trailer for Stealing Jokes, a new action-comedy from director Mike Young and featuring a who’s who of rising stars and veteran comedians pulling off an Ocean’s Eleven-style heist and getting into a lot of trouble.
We’re happy to exclusively debut a new clip from Stealing Jokes, ahead of its release next month. The film stars comedians Jeff Dye (The Wedding Year), Dustin Ybarra (Easter Sunday), HaHa Davis (Domino: Battle of the Bones), Ryu Go Eun (Everything’s Trash), Michael Rapaport (Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest), Al Madrigal (Night School), Michael Manasseri (Weird Science), with appearances by Pauly Shore, Sebastian Maniscalco, Tony Rock, and Annie Lederman.
Young previously directed the comedies My Man is a Loser and A Stand Up Guy. He also wrote the screenplay.
SYNOPSIS: In the film, comedian Jake Burman and friends head out on tour. After getting stiffed for their pay on their first gig, they decide to rob the venue which sets the stage for a hilarious heist through the comedy underworld.
Freestyle Digital Media releases Stealing Jokes on November 1st on all digital platforms and DVD.
