Jon Bernthal To Return As The Punisher In Marvel’s ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Series

Fans can stop wondering about the future of The Punisher now that Marvel is integrating the Netflix characters into the MCU. THR reports that Jon Bernthal will suit up as Frank Castle once again in Daredevil: Born Again, the series that already features the return of Charlie Cox as Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin.

This makes sense. Bernthal’s take on Punisher first debuted as part of Daredevil season two in 2016. From there, he led two seasons of The Punisher before all of the Marvel Netflix universe was quickly canceled as part of Kevin Feige’s consolidation of power.

Daredevil: Born Again promises to be a massive effort with an 18-episode season from writers and executive producers Matt Corman and Chris Ord. That leaves plenty of room for Punisher to play a significant role, and possibly leap into his own series at some point.

Okay, so now what happens with Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Finn Jones as Iron Fist, and Mike Colter as Luke Cage? At this point it seems like Marvel has a plan for all of them, doesn’t it?

Daredevil: Born Again begins shooting this month and is expected to debut in spring of 2024.
