‘Smile’ Trailer Offers A Final Look At The Face Of Terror Before This Week’s Release

With just days until the horror film’s release, Paramount has dropped one final trailer for Smile. Perhaps they’re hoping the obvious similarities to The Grudge will attract viewers who are eager to get the Halloween season started early.

The film stars Sosie Bacon, Jessie T. Usher, Kyle Gallner, and Robin Weigert. Caitlin Stasey, Kal Penn, and Rob Morgan, so the cast is especially good. Parker Finn wrote the script and makes his directorial debut. Here’s the synopsis, but basically it involves a really creepy smile and bad things that happen when people look upon it.

After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can’t explain. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality.

Smile opens in theaters on September 30th, just a few days removed from its world premiere at Fantastic Fest.
