IMAX Drops Expanded 4K ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’ 4K Teaser With Better Look At Russell Crowe As Zeus

Finally, this week saw Marvel Studios drop the long-awaited Thor: Love and Thunder teaser trailer. And boy, was it worth the wait. It gave us a lot: from a newly in-shape Thor, Natalie Portman’s Mighty Thor, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Valkyrie, and even a trip to Olympus with a shot of Russell Crowe as Zeus. But they were holding something back that you’ll only find in the new IMAX trailer, and that’s an extra 23% of screen action.

Of course, with the expanded IMAX aspect ratio (and also in 4K), you get more of everything. But in particular the shot of Zeus reveals a lot more of Olympus. Unfortunately, we don’t see Hercules or Ares hanging out or anything (yet), but this is definitely a movie that will be worth paying the extra dollars to see on the widest screen possible.

So far, fans are really digging what they’ve seen. The trailer scored over 200M views in the first 24 hours, which is just nuts. And to think, this is still just a teaser. A full trailer hasn’t even arrived yet.

Thor: Love and Thunder opens in theaters on July 8th.
