‘Jurassic World’ Producer Promises The Franchise Will Continue After ‘Dominion’

There’s no such thing as the end of a franchise anymore. Take Jurassic World Dominion, for instance, which would appear to be the conclusion if you look at it. It’s the third chapter in a trilogy, and even brings back the cast of Jurassic Park for a big ol’ dino-brouhaha. But no, this ain’t the end, and we have confirmation of that producer Frank Marshall.

Marshall spoke with /Film about the future of Jurassic World, and the long/short of it is that there IS a future to speak of…

“I think that ‘Dominion’s’ going to wrap up this trilogy, but we’re not resting on our laurels. We’re going to sit down, and we’re going to see what the future is. We have that wonderful series, ‘Camp Cretaceous,’ on Netflix. We obviously want to make quality, good movies with great storytelling, great writers and directors, but we’re definitely looking to do more in the ‘Jurassic’ world.”

So where does the franchise go from here? Maybe in a Planet of the Apes sort of turn, we see a world dominated by dinosaurs who can speak? I don’t know, just an idea. What else is left to do? They can’t very well destroy another theme park or sanctuary, can they?

Jurassic World Dominion opens June 10th.
