‘Barbarians’ Trailer: A Dinner Party Turns To Madness In IFC Midnight’s Horror Starring Iwan Rheon, Catalina Sandino Moreno, & Tom Cullen

A dinner party, a gathering of friends, a knock on the door, why do these things so often lead to madness and terror? This set up is tried ‘n true stuff in the horror genre, especially of late, and it continues with the IFC Midnight thriller Barbarians, which stars Ramsay Bolton himself Iwan Rheon and Catalina Sandino Moreno.

In Barbarians, a celebratory evening among friends goes terribly wrong when dark secrets emerge, there’s a knock on the door, and madness begins to set in. The film is directed by Charles Dorfman, interestingly, a producer on some gigantic stuff including The King’s Speech, Tracks, and most recently The Lost Daughter.

Also in the cast are Tom Cullen, Inès Spiridonov, and Will Kemp.

Barbarians opens in theaters and VOD on April 1st.

Set over the course of twenty-four hours, BARBARIANS sees couple Adam (Rheon) and Eva (Moreno) wake up in their supposed dream house on Adam’s birthday. Lucas (Cullen), property developer and friend of the couple, arrives for dinner with his actress girlfriend Chloe (Spiridonov) to celebrate Adam’s birthday and the couple’s buying of the house. But secrets unravel over dinner, and when the doorbell rings the evening takes a nightmarish turn. As manners give way to madness, an ‘idyllic’ evening of celebration descends into a dark night of terror; and the group’s civilized dinner party turns out to be anything but.
