Disney To Release ‘Raya And The Last Dragon’ In Theaters And Disney+ This March

Following the massive success Disney had making Mulan available on Disney+, they’ve decided to do the same thing for Raya and the Last Dragon. The animated film will debut in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access on March 5th 2021.

This is all due to the pandemic, of course. The film has faced multiple delays because of theater shutdowns, and Disney has decided the wisest course is to follow the same path they laid out for Mulan.

Raya and the Last Dragon will be made available in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access for the price of $34.99. The new March 5th release date is a week earlier than the one previously set.

The film features the voices of Kelly Marie Tran and Awkwafina, and tells the story of a warrior who joins with a water dragon to save the fictional Asian land of Kumandra . Don Hall (Big Hero 6) and Carlos Lopez Estrada (Blindspotting) directed the Disney feature, joined by co-directors Paul Briggs and John Ripa.
