‘Clarice’ Teaser: CBS’ ‘Silence Of The Lambs’ Sequel Series Arrives In February

Are you ready for more Silence of the Lambs? I mean, I guess we should all be happy this isn’t a remake, but instead it’s Clarice, a sequel series coming to CBS early next year.

As seen in the trailer for Clarice, the series takes place in 1993, shortly after the events seen in Silence of the Lambs, as the traumatized Clarice Starling tries to return to her job. But as Clarice takes on new cases and pursues new criminals, the encounter with Hannibal Lecter haunts her.

Taking over the Clarice Starling role is Rebecca Breeds, attempting to fill the shoes of Jodie Foster and Julianne Moore.

Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet are on board as exec-producers. Kurtzman is a hero at CBS for helping to build their Star Trek franchise on CBS All Access. The series arrives not long after the cancellation of Hannibal, which ran for three seasons.

Clarice debuts on CBS beginning February 11th 2021.

SYNOPSIS: Venture into 1993, a year after the events of “The Silence of the Lambs,” to explore the untold personal story of Clarice Starling as she returns to the field to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators while navigating the high-stakes political world of Washington, D.C.
