Tatiana Maslany and director Osgood Perkins have a thing goin’ on, and so far it’s worked out pretty good. The She-Hulk star already had a role in Perkins’ The Monkey, and rejoined him for the upcoming horror, Keeper, which opens November 14th. And now NEON has revealed Maslany is part of the cast of his next film, The Young People.
Already set to star Lola Tung (The Summer I Turned Pretty) and Nico Parker (How to Train Your Dragon), The Young People‘s cast includes Maslany, Heather Graham (Boogie Nights), Johnny Knoxville (Jackass), Lexi Minetree (The Paramedic Who Stalked Me), Lily Collias (Good One), Brendan Hines (Lie to Me), and Cush Jumbo (The Good Wife).
Typical for Perkins, plot details are being kept under lock and key. Perkins directs and produces from a screenplay he wrote. Rumors are that this film will have more of a Lovecraft vibe, but until we know more that’s just speculation.
Production is underway in Vancouver on The Young People, and given Perkins’ speed, we should see it in theaters next year.
