True to form, we’re not going to know much about JJ Abrams’ upcoming movie except for the information he spoon feeds us. But what we do know is that the cast he’s putting together will be very good. THR reports Samuel L. Jackson is in talks to join the untitled movie for Warner Bros. and Abrams’ Bad Robot.
Jackson will join Jenna Ortega, Glen Powell, and Emma Mackey who were announced previously. Details on the story will remain a mystery, however, although we do know it’s not going to be about time travel as some had guessed.
This will be Abrams’ first film since 2019’s Star Wars: Episode IX-The Rise of Skywalker. He’s also recently been attached to a new project with Dwayne Johnson and Ready Player One writer Zak Penn.
Currently, Jackson can be seen in The Piano Lesson, an adaptation of August Wilson’s stageplay directed by Malcolm Washington and produced by Denzel Washington. Coming up he has The Unholy Trinity, a Western with Pierce Brosnan; adventure film Afterburn alongside Dave Bautista; and actioner The Beast with Joel Kinnaman. He will also probably continue to show up in future Marvel films as Nick Fury, although his next appearance has yet to be confirmed.
