The legendary Monica Belluci is known for her roles in The Apartment, Suspicion, The Brothers Grimm, The Passion of The Christ, The Matrix Saga and the James Bond film, Spectre. In the new film Mafia Mamma, she steps away from the more action-oriented and dramatic parts to play the sexy and badass Bianca, the consigliere to Toni Colette’s naive American mafia Don.
When I sat down with Monica to discuss her role in the action-comedy, she was so passionate about the project. She oozed with charisma as she spoke about working alongside Colette and Hardwicke in her native home of Italy. It sounded like she had waited a long time for a comedic opportunity, one that she definitely savors in Mafia Mamma.
