A Bloodier ‘M3GAN’ Unrated Cut Is Coming To Peacock This Month

The original theatrical cut of M3GAN was already pretty wild, and also a huge hit at the box office. The one complaint was that it felt a bit tame, at times, due to the PG-13 rating. Well, imagine how much crazier the dancing murder doll can be with all of the violence put back in?

Universal has confirmed the unrated edition of M3GAN will stream exclusively on Peacock beginning February 24th. So we don’t even have to wait that long to see just how M3GAN will go to defend her owner. The original cut will also head to the streaming service, but the unrated cut will have never-before-seen footage.

Just last month, writer Akela Cooper promised there was a much bloodier cut of the film on the way. She said her original script had a much higher body count, but Universal went with a milder version when the film’s trailer became a viral smash that appealed to teens. Gotta get ’em into the theaters!

A sequel to M3GAN, which hopefully will use some type of cool, clever spelling, is set for January 2025.
