Ryan Reynolds Has Pulled Rick Moranis Out Of Retirement For A Mobile Ad

Children of the ’80s, rejoice! Rick Moranis is back, and we’ve got Ryan Reynolds to thank for it.

Moranis was a huge star, having appeared in comedies Little Shop of Horrors, Ghostbusters, Disney’s Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, and more. In the late ’90s he retired from acting in favor of the family life, and now he’s returned in a new ad for Ryan Reynolds’ mobile company, Mint Mobile.

Say what now?

Yep, Ryan Reynolds is an owner of a mobile phone company, and with Mint Mobile offering a $30M/month unlimited plan, he decided to do something weird by dragging Moranis out of retirement. Reynolds is actually quite the businessman. He recently sold his Aviation Gin company for $600M. So this acting thing? He doesn’t really need it.

Check out the ad below. And if you’re wondering where Moranis will pop up next? It will reportedly be in Shrunk, Disney’s spinoff of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.
