Ryan Reynolds Teases ‘Deadpool 4’ And The “Deep Cuts” He Wants To See

There hasn’t been a lot of buzz about Deadpool 4 lately, and fans are hoping that this weekend’s Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con will change that. However, star Ryan Reynolds has beat it to the punch with comments at Fantatics Fest NYC teasing what could be coming up the next time we see the Merc with a Mouth…

“There’s a few really deep cuts that are missing from the movies, I think there’s a few deep cuts missing from some of the comics..There’s certainly some stuff that I love that Fabian [Nicieza] wrote that is incredible. Gerry Duggan is a friend and an incredible comic book writer. There’s stuff coming, there eventually will be another Deadpool film.”

Over the past year, Reynolds has been teasing a mystery Deadpool team-up movie that might involve X-Force. It’s worth noting that Nicieza, my favorite X-Men writer ever, wrote the issues of X-Force that were crucial to Deadpool’s early story. He also wrote the best Deadpool storyline still to this day, The Circle Chase.

Or, we could see a more modern interpretation of X-Force, one that could include Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Dafne Keen’s X-23, who are now part of Wade’s universe thanks to the events of Deadpool & Wolverine.

I think it’s a safe bet that news on Deadpool 4 is right around the corner. And I still wouldn’t put it past him appearing in Avengers: Doomsday.
