‘Dracula’ Trailer: Caleb Landry Jones Is The King Of Vampires In Luc Besson’s New Horror Love Story

The full title of Luc Besson’s new horror with Caleb Landry Jones is Dracula: A Love Tale. So you can imagine that it’s likely going to be very off-the-wall in its depiction of the king of all vampires, and his infatuation with Mina Murray. Vertical has debuted a new trailer for the film, now simply titled Dracula.

The film reunites Besson and Jones, who recently worked together on the batshit canine action flick Dogman. Jones becomes the latest actor to play Count Dracula, and based on this footage, it’s going to be an extremely odd performance. Odd is pretty much Jones’ specialty, at this point. This could be REALLY bad, but I dig that Besson is still willing to take risks, and this movie is nothing but risk. It’s dripping with an abundance of style, and you can tell Jones is totally going for broke, as he does with every role.

Also in the cast are Christoph Waltz as Priest aka Von Helsing, Zoë Bleu as Elisabeta aka Mina Murray, and Italian singer/actress Matilda De Angelis as Maria aka Lucy Westenra. Besson directed the film and wrote the screenplay.

SYNOPSIS: When a 15th-century prince (Caleb Landry Jones) witnesses the brutal murder of his wife (Zoë Bleu), he renounces God and damns heaven itself. Cursed with eternal life, he is reborn as Dracula, an immortal warlord who defies fate in a blood-soaked crusade to wrench his lost love back from death, no matter the cost. On the verge of reuniting, Dracula is hunted by a relentless priest (Christoph Waltz), sworn to end his immortal reign.

Vertical plans to release Dracula in theaters on February 6th 2026. Besson films haven’t been commercially successful here in ages. Movies like The ProfessionalThe Fifth ElementTaken, and Lucy were ages ago. Since then, he’s had a couple of high-profile flops such as Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets and the little-seen hitwoman flick, Anna.
