Emma Corrin, Josh Hutcherson, Hunter Schafer, & Sophie Wilde Join ‘The First Omen’ Director’s Next Horror

I was as surprised as anyone that last year’s The First Omen was, well, any good at all. Arkasha Stevenson’s directorial debut was the rare horror prequel that made the original film better. And now A24 has gotten into business with the filmmaker on an untitled horror movie that is shaping up to be a star-studded affair.

Deadline reported that Josh Hutcherson, Frank Dillane, Caleb Landry Jones, Whitmer Thomas, Emma Corrin, Hunter Schafer, Havana Rose Liu, and Sophie Wilde have joined Stevenson’s horror film that she will direct and co-write with Tim Smith.

Details on the plot remain under wraps, but the film will reportedly center on an out-of-control bachelor party.

Stevenson has also directed episodes of Legion, Briarpatch, and Brand New Cherry Flavor.

Most of the cast have extensive experience with the horror genre. Hutcherson recently starred in Five Nights at Freddy’s and will return for the sequel. Corrin was just in Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu, Schafer led last year’s sci-fi horror Cuckoo, Caleb Landry Jones has The Last Exorcism, Antiviral, and Dracula: A Love Tale to his credit, and Sophie Wilde starred in the hit indie horror Talk to Me.
