First ‘MODOK’ Teaser Reveals Marvel And Hulu’s R-Rated Animated Series About The AIM Leader

Remember when Marvel was going to drop a bunch of shows on Hulu, including Howard the Duck, Tigra & Dazzler, and more? Well, the only ones to survive are Helstrom, which is already getting terrible reviews, and MODOK, an adult-themed stop-motion series about the big-headed leader of AIM.

The first teaser for MODOK resembles an Adult Swim series in its style of animation and also in humor, although perhaps Harley Quinn is a better example. The series was the brainchild of Patton Oswalt and Jordan Blum, with the former voicing MODOK, the AIM leader as he deals with the villainous organization’s financial downturn and other workplace and family issues. Interestingly, the series appears to be done The Office-style, which could be a fun way to look at the Marvel Universe.

Other voices in the cast include Ben Schwartz, Aimee Garcia, Melissa Fumero, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Beck Bennett, Sam Richardson, and Jon Daly.

MODOK hits Hulu in early 2021.
