Sony’s not quite done with live-action Spider-Man spinoff projects following the failure of Kraven the Hunter. They’ve still got one more on the way, albeit not of the same family of characters, and it’s for the small screen. Spider-Noir finds Nicolas Cage reprising his role as the 1930s gumshoe version of Spidey that he first played in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Television have debuted a first official look at Spider-Noir, featuring Cage in full costume. Pretty cool. We also have a short teaser showing some footage from the series that hits Prime Video in 2026.
SYNOPSIS: “Spider-Noir” tells the story of an aging and down-on-his-luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.
Also in the cast with Cage are Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, and Jack Huston. Guest stars include Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson, and Kai Caster.
Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot (The Punisher) are set as co-showrunners, with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal as exec-producers.
