Another day, another outstanding addition to Christopher Nolan’s movie coming in summer 2026. Hey, can we get an official title or something, Chris? Anyway, the latest to join the cast is none other than The Batman star, Robert Pattinson.
This is a reunion between Pattinson and Nolan who worked together on Tenet a few years ago. Remember that one? It’s okay if you forgot as it dared to be released in theaters during COVID-19 lockdowns, becoming a box office disappointment in the process. Also, the temporal sci-fi actioner had mixed reviews. Nolan tried to get Pattinson for a role in Oppenheimer, but timing couldn’t be worked out.
Pattinson joins a starry lineup that includes Tom Holland, Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, and Lupita Nyong’o. It remains to be seen how big each part will be. Everyone in this cast is going to be busy with other projects happening around the same time. Damon, Holland, Hathaway and now Pattinson are reportedly the key players, with Zendaya and Nyong’o in support.
Details on the plot are still locked up tight. Presumably, we’ll find out more early next year when production starts. Universal plans to release Nolan’s film on July 17th 2026, in IMAX, of course. [THR]
