We still don’t know anything about Christopher Nolan’s new movie, but with the cast he’s putting together it’s not going to matter. The latest to join the star-studded cast is Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o.
THR reports Nyong’o is the latest to join Nolan’s summer 2026 movie, which remains a mystery. The Black Panther and 12 Years a Slave actress will be sharing the screen with Tom Holland, Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, and Zendaya. Pretty good group, and if the size of the Oppenheimer ensemble is any indication, there will be a lot more cast additions to follow.
Rumors have been swirling about the movie but last we heard no one has guessed the plot correctly yet. Nolan is unlikely to tell us anything until he’s good and ready, and even then it’ll be minimal. The film doesn’t even have a title yet, so it’s tough to believe anything that’s being said out there.
It’s been a busy year for Nyong’o. She was chased by monsters in the horror prequel A Quiet Place: Day One, then chased animals in Dreamworks’ The Wild Robot. She’s more than familiar with blockbuster movies at this point.
Universal will release Nolan’s movie on July 17th 2026.
