The TMNT Return As ‘Mutant Mayhem’ Sequel Is Set For October 2026

Released into theaters last summer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem wasn’t a gigantic hit, but it was certainly a critical darling. The A-list voice cast was a lot of fun, and the style of animation won audiences over after some thought it too much of a departure. Paramount and Nickelodeon are obviously happy, because they’ve just penciled in the TMNT’s return to the big screen in 2026.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2 will hit theaters on October 9th 2026. So Paramount is exiting the summer months and moving the sequel into fall, which could lead to some interesting results. The news was revealed as part of Paramount Pictures’ upcoming slate.

Director Jeff Row is expected to return, along with the principal voice cast of Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu, Brady Noon and Ayo Edebiri.

The previous film concluded with the Shredder being called in by Cynthia Utrom to defeat the Turtles. It’s about time the Turtles’ arch-nemesis makes his presence felt, and he’ll probably bring the whole Foot Clan with him. [Toonado]
