‘Platonic’ Trailer: Seth Rogen And Rose Byrne Reunite As Friends In Apple Comedy Series

As we saw with two hilarious, and wildly successful Neighbors films, the pairing of Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne is one that audiences love. While there isn’t a third of those movies coming, Rogen and Byrne are reuniting on the Apple series, Platonic, and the chemistry still works.

In Platonic, Rogen and Byrne play estranged friends who are reunited after one files for divorce. They are just as close as ever, getting into all sorts of hijinks, while others wonder if a man and a woman can really just be friends.

I don’t know, can they? Clearly, this show will have all of the answers. Failing that, it also just looks really funny.

Also in the cast are Luke Macfarlane, Tre Hale, Andrew Lopez, and Rogen’s old Undeclared co-star Carla Gallo. The series was created by Nicholas Stoller and Francesca Delbanco, the duo having previously created the Netflix series Friends from College.

Platonic hits Apple TV+ on May 24th.

“Platonic” follows a platonic pair of former best friends approaching midlife (Rogen and Byrne) who reconnect after a long rift. The duo’s friendship becomes all consuming—and destabilizes their lives in a hilarious way.
