‘The Eternal Daughter’ Trailer: Tilda Swinton Grapples With Buried Family Secrets In Joanna Hogg’s Latest

If Joanna Hogg has a new movie, you can just about always count on Tilda Swinton being part of it. Their relationship goes beyond the professional and has lasted for decades. Swinton and her daughter Honor Swinton Byrne most recently starred in Hogg’s The Souvenir films, to great acclaim. And now Swinton is back to lead Hogg’s latest, The Eternal Daughter.

Filmed in 2020 ahead of the lockdown, The Eternal Daughter is a mystery that centers on a woman and her elderly mother grappling with long-buried secrets as they return to the family home.

The film features a small cast led by Swinton and includes Joseph Mydell, Carly-Sophia Davies, and Alfie Sankey-Green.

A24 will release The Eternal Daughter into theaters on December 2nd.
