Scarlet Witch’s MCU Return Teased By Kevin Feige: “Anything’s Possible In The Multiverse!”

While Elizabeth Olsen’s run as Wanda Maximoff began with Captain America: The Winter Soldier and picked up in Avengers: Age of Ultron, the last couple of years have really seen that role grow into something greater. Since Avengers: Infinity War, Wanda has been on a tragic trajectory, culminating with the brilliant WandaVision and finally her full villainous turn in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. So what’s next, if anything, for the most deadly mage in all of the MCU?

Speaking with Variety, Marvel chief Kevin Feige teased the Scarlet Witch’s eventual return, totally no-selling her apparent demise at the end of Doctor Strange 2

“I don’t know that we saw her under rubble?” said Feige. “I saw a tower coming down and a little red flash. I don’t know what that means.”

Feige continued, “There really is so much more to explore. We still haven’t touched on many of her core storylines from the comics. I’d work with Lizzie for another 100 years if we could. Anything’s possible in the multiverse! We’ll have to see.”

Olsen isn’t so certain, though, but does say she’d like to see Wanda get some kind of “redemption” arc if she does return…

“I don’t think any of these characters are ever really gone”, Olsen said.

Nothing is set in stone, but fans were dumb enough to think that some falling rubble was enough to kill a character (and as marketable) as Scarlet Witch. She’ll return, it’s just a matter of when.
