‘Day Shift’ Trailer: Jamie Foxx And Snoop Dogg Take Down Los Angeles Vampires

Vampires are cool. Vampire movies are even cooler. But a vampire movie with Jamie Foxx and a cowboy hat-sportin’ Snoop Dogg is off the charts. That’s what we’re getting from the upcoming Netflix film, Day Shift, one of the streamer’s big launches for the summer.

Set in Los Angeles, Day Shift stars Foxx as a pool cleaner who doubles as a vampire hunter for the Hunter’s Guild. But he’s been excommunicated from the group, and needs his buddy, played by Snoop, to fix the problem in time for them to take down a powerful, ancient vampire posing as a real estate agent.

This looks hella fun, almost like a cousin to Army of the Dead. Coincidentally, the film is co-written by that zombie film’s writer, Shay Hatten, along with newcomer Tyler Tice. Former stuntman JJ Perry is behind the camera.

Also starring Meagan Good, Zion Broadnax, Karla Souza, and Dave Franco. Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Scott Adkins, Oliver Masucci, and Eric Lange, Day Shift hits Netflix on August 12th.
