When you’re as good looking as Ryan Gosling, you probably get killed a “doll” quite a lot. Well, in the upcoming live-action Barbie movie that takes literal shape as we have our first look at Gosling as the perfectly perfect, handsome, denim-vested beau, Ken.
Everything about this image of Gosling as Ken is mint, from the goofy grin, the frosty blonde hair, the cutoff jean vest, and the boxers with “Ken” emblazoned on them. He looks ridiculous, but just right for a movie about the most iconic doll franchise in the world.
The photo matches up perfectly with the blinding neon pink image we saw before featuring star Margot Robbie as Barbie in her pink Dream Car.
The film is directed by Greta Gerwig, who co-wrote the script with Noah Baumbach. Simu Liu, Issa Rae, Alexandra Shipp, Will Ferrell, Hari Nef, Ncuti Gatwa, Michael Cera, Rhea Perlman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Emerald Fennell, and Rita Arya are also part of the huge ensemble cast.
Barbie hits theaters on July 21st 2023.
