‘Wonder Twins’ Movie Reportedly Axed As Warner Bros. Discovery Shake-Ups Continue

Okay, so remember a couple of weeks ago when the Wonder Twins movie for HBO Max cast Riverdale‘s KJ Apa and 1883‘s Isabel May to play the DC Comics siblings? Yeah, good times. Well, forget about ’em, because according to a new report by That Hashtag Show, the film has been canceled.

The shake-up at Warner Bros. Discovery continues, with multiple shows being canceled including Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow, plus a major reorganizing of DC Films, the Batgirl film moving to theatrical, and the dropping of all new scripted content at TNT and TBS.

Cast and crew of Wonder Twins were informed of the cancellation just days ago. Plans had been for shooting to begin this summer, with Adam Sztykiel (SCOOB!) behind the camera. It’s unclear if this is the end of all plans for the alien siblings Zan and Jayna, or if we’ll see the Wonder Twins in a completely different project.
