‘The Menu’: Anya Taylor-Joy And Ralph Fiennes In First Look At The Culinary Dark Comedy

Once a project meant for director Alexander Payne and star Emma Stone, culinary dark comedy The Menu is coming our way from Succession director Mark Mylod and producer Adam McKay. Ralph Fiennes, who has been aboard since the beginning, will instead have Anya Taylor-Joy as his co-star, and both can be seen in this debut image to herald the film’s newly-announced November 18th release date.

The Menu stars Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult as a couple who travel to a remote island to enjoy a lavish meal at an exclusive restaurant where the chef has also prepared for them some surprises.

Also in the cast are Hong Chau, Janet McTeer, Judith Light, Reed Birney, Paul Adelstein, Amiee Carreo, Arturo Castro, Mark St. Cyr, Rob Yang, and John Leguizamo. The screenplay is by Seth Reiss and Will Tracy.

The Menu is just one of many high-profile projects for Taylor-Joy. She’ll be seen later this week in The Northman, and she’ll gear up for George Miller’s Furiosa prequel.
