Kristen Stewart is on a roll, and even though she didn’t win an Oscar for her performance in Stewart, she’s as sought-after as ever. Next up? Joining with A24 for Love Lies Bleeding, a romantic thriller for BAFTA-nominated Saint Maud director, Rose Glass.
THR reports Stewart will star in Love Lies Bleeding, a romantic thriller set within the world of competitive bodybuilding. Stewart will play the protective lover of a female bodybuilder.
Glass will direct and also co-wrote the script with Weronika Tofilska that is reportedly “centered on the extreme qualities it takes to succeed in the competitive world of bodybuilding.” It’s being described “a romance fueled by ego, desire and the American dream.”
Coming up for Stewart is David Cronenberg’s horror Crimes of the Future.
