‘The Offer’ Trailer: Miles Teller Leads Paramount’s ‘The Godfather’ Origin Series This April

Sometimes it just isn’t possible to continue on with a sequel or reboot of a beloved franchise. Or it would be a really bad idea, let’s put it that way. Nobody wants to see The Godfather 4, do they? So what’s a studio to do? Well, if you’re Paramount, you develope a series like The Offer, which follows all of the major players, and major headaches, that went into getting The Godfather made.

Starring in the 10-episode event series are Miles Teller as producer Albert S. Ruddy, Dan Fogler as director Francis Ford Coppola, Juno Temple as Bettye McCartt, Giovanni Ribisi as mobster Joe Colombo, Matthew Goode as uber-producer Robert Evans, Burn Gorman as Paramount head Charles Bluhdorn, Patrick Gallo as author Mario Puzo, Colin Hanks as Barry Lapidus, Justin Chambers as Marlon Brando, Meredith Garretson as Ali MacGraw, and Anthony Ippolito as Al Pacino.

Rocketman director Dexter Fletcher took the helm of each episode, joined by Nikki Toscano (Hunters) as showrunner and Oscar-nominated writer Michael Tolkin.

The first three episodes of The Offer will hit Paramount+ on April 28th.
