Marvel Is Finally Developing A ‘Nova’ Project, ‘Moon Knight’ Writer Attached

This has been a long time coming. Stretching as far back as the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, there have been rumors of a Nova movie that would soon follow. Well, they’ve never come about, despite us already seeing the Nova Corps in action played by the likes of John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, and Peter Serafinowicz. Fans of Richard Rider (or Sam Alexander??) have been patient, but Nova is finally about to get his due.

Deadline reports that a Nova project is actually in the works, with Moon Knight writer Sabir Pirzada working on the script. So which one will it be? Rich or the most-recent version, Sam? That’s unclear. So is whether this will be a feature film or a series on Disney+.

Nova is a human who joins the intergalactic police force known as the Nova Corps. He’s basically a human rocket, with enhanced strength, flight, and resistance to injury.  Nova has been a part of numerous teams, including the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Secret Avengers, and the most famously The New Warriors. I’m still waiting on a proper New Warriors project, Marvel! Anyway, many like to call the Nova Corps Marvel’s version of Green Lantern and the GL Corps, and honestly, I can’t dispute that.
