‘Loki’ Season 2 Sets ‘Moon Knight’ Directors Justin Benson And Aaron Moorhead

Marvel’s next Disney+ series, Moon Knight, arrives in a month and it promises to be darker, edgier than anything they’ve done on the network. For that we’ll have directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead to thank, and clearly Marvel likes what they did because the duo are expanding their influence in the MCU with an even bigger series.

Deadline reports Benson and Moorhead are set to direct Loki season 2, taking over from Kate Herron who has moved on to different projects. Tom Hiddleston will return as the Asgardian trickster, of course, and we know to expect Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Sophia Di Martino, as well.

Michael Waldron, who penned Loki‘s first season and Doctor Strange 2, has moved to a producer role while Eric Martin has been hired to write all second season episodes.

Benson and Moorhead were part of a directing group on Moon Knight but they did enough to earn the top job with Loki. From there, perhaps a Marvel feature will be next? The duo previously directed indie sci-fi hits The Endless and Synchronic.
