Spike Lee Is Directing A Movie Musical About The Creation Of Viagra

In this week’s edition of “Huh??”, Spike Lee is making a movie musical about Viagra. Well, the creation of the famous erectile dysfunction drug by Pfizer, who have been in the news a lot lately for a very different treatment.

Deadline reports Lee will direct a musical film about the creation of Viagra, based on the David Kusher New Yorker article All Rise: The Untold Story of the Guys Who Launched Viagra. Lee co-wrote the script with Kwame Kwei-Armah, and it will feature music from Stew Stewart and Tony Award-winner Heidi Rodewald.

This is expected to be the next project for Lee, who has already had a busy year with Da 5 Bloods and American Utopia.

Here’s what Lee had to say on his motivation for telling this particular story and doing it as a musical:

“First And Foremost, I Thank Ms. Jacquelyn Shelton Lee.
