Everyone goes into a wedding hoping that it’ll be the only time they ever have to walk down the aisle, and that the special day will be perfect. But weddings are very hard work and very stressful. The last thing the lovebirds need is a stupid booking error to screw things up. Well, that’s what happens in the new Prime Video comedy You’re Cordially Invited, starring two powerhouses of the mishap comedy, Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell.
Written and directed by Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Bros), You’re Cordially Invited stars Ferrell as father of the bride-to-be, and Witherspoon whose sister is set to walk down the aisle. When the venue is double-booked, they decide to cut through the craziness by sharing it, only to have a destructive clash of personalities.
Ferrell, who is receiving some of the highest praise of his career right now for the documentary Will & Harper, is also aboard as producer. Witherspoon continues to flex her producing muscles as she has been for years.
Joining them in the cast are Geraldine Viswanathan, Meredith Hagner, Jimmy Tatro, Stony Blyden, Leanne Morgan, Rory Scovel, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Ramona Young, Jack McBrayer, with Celia Weston, so a really great group of funny people here.
