‘Wednesday’: Lady Gaga Joins Jenna Ortega In Season Two Of Netflix’s Hit Series

What’s a good way for Lady Gaga to quickly move on from the Joker: Folie á Deux misstep and be part of something cool again? How about landing a role in Netflix’s hit series, Wednesday, which has been a pop culture fixture since it debuted? How many times has this show gone viral? And how might that number be increased by adding one of the biggest stars in the world?

Lady Gaga and Wednesday star Jenna Ortega sharing the same space? Sounds like one Hell of a hook for season two. Details on the singer and Oscar-winning actress’ role are being kept a secret for now. Something macabre, hopefully? Perhaps she’s an extended member of the Addams family? Gaga previously starred in two seasons of American Horror Story, and received four Emmy nominations.

Returning from season one are Ortega, Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Fred Armisen, Isaac Ordonez, and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo. Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor are new additions, with Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Tandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Joonas Suotamo guesting.

Wednesday season two is in production now with Al Gough and Miles Millar back as showrunners and Tim Burton directing four episodes. [THR]
