With Marvel showing off their big screen slate at San Diego Comic-Con last month, the general thought was they’d save the TV stuff for D23. And that has proven to be true with a brand new trailer for Agatha All Along, the WandaVision spinoff featuring Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, once the villain and now the protagonist.
The series was created by WandaVision writer Jac Schaeffer, who has also taken over as exec-producer and director. So what’s Agatha up to this time? Creating her own coven of witches after a Goth teen breaks her free from the distorted spell she’s been under.
Along with Hahn, Agatha All Along includes Aubrey Plaza as Rio Vidal, a warrior witch in Harkness’s coven and Joe Locke as the Goth teen. The supporting cast includes Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, Debra Jo Rupp, Patti LuPone, and Emma Caulfield. Christophe Beck also returns as series composer.
SYNOPSIS: In “Agatha All Along,” the infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven and set off down, down, down The Road…
Agatha All Along debuts on Disney+ on September 18th with the first two episodes.
