Taron Egerton’s Met With Marvel Chief Kevin Feige, Wants His Shot At Wolverine

The most poupular X-Man ever, Wolverine’s portrayal on the big screen has been defined by Hugh Jackman. At this point, it’s hard to see anyone else playing him, but that is a reality that fans are going to face. The only question is “When”? The X-Men will be rebooted in the MCU, and there’s a hope San Diego Comic-Con will be the place for an announcement. And if so, one contender at the top of many fan wish lists is Taron Egerton.

Speaking with the New York Times, Egerton confirms that he’s actually met with Marvel chief Kevin Feige. While he didn’t reveal what the meeting was about, the Kingsman actor has his sights set on the Logan role…

“I don’t think it would be wrong to say that. I’d be excited, but I’d be apprehensive as well because Hugh is so associated with the role that I’d wonder if it’d be very difficult for someone else to do it.” “But hopefully, if it does come around, they’ll give me a shot”, Egerton said with a grin.

If Marvel decides to get Hugh Jackman’s blessing on this, it might work in Egerton’s favor. The two are quite close after working together on the sports comedy Eddie the Eagle. Who knows? Jackman might give Egerton the adamantium claw of approval.

Edgerton can be seen next in the Apple TV+ series Black Bird, which happens to be the name of the X-Men’s plane.
