Who says the vacation has to stop when you return home? Just turn around and go on another one! That’s what Hulu is planning to do with their hit comedy, Vacation Friends, and you know what? John Cena will be there, too!
Vacation Friends scored the most viewers ever for a Hulu original film last weekend, and 20th Century Studios isn’t going to let that go. A sequel titled Honeymoon Friends is in the works, clearly picking right up from the finish of the prior movie, which saw the wild ‘n crazy duo played by Cena and Meredith Hagner tie the knot. The entire cast of Cena, Hagner, Lil Rel Howery, and Yvonne Orji will return, along with director Clay Tarver.
This is perfect. Vacation Friends was hilarious if formulaic, and really let Cena go nuts. Assuming all things remain the same, he’s going to be the biggest draw for the sequel, as well.
