‘In The Lost Lands’: Milla Jojovich And Dave Bautista To Lead Adaptation Of George R.R. Martin’s Short Story

If there’s a new Paul W.S. Anderson movie coming, the first things we need to know are which video game it’s based on, and who has he cast wife Milla Jojovich to play? Personally, I’m hoping for a Darkstalkers game with her as Morrigan. But actually, this time it’s not a game, but an adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s short story In the Lost Lands. And yes, Jojovich has a role…alongside the always-awesome Dave Bautista.

Variety reports Pau W.S. Anderson will direct an adaptation of In the Lost Lands, based on a short story from Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin.  Milla Jojovich and Dave Bautista are on board, playing a sorceress and drifter, respectively, who are sent out into the deadly wilderness known as the Lost Lands where they must battle man and demon alike to survive.

Anderson’s most recent films have been Capcom video game adaptations. His latest, Monster Hunter, opened late last year. He’s probably best known for the long-running Resident Evil franchise, which has made over $1B worldwide.

It’s still pretty early on in development and the film has yet to find financing or distributor, but given Anderson’s track record and the inclusion of Bautista that shouldn’t take long.
