If you tune in to check out Cinema Royale every week, as I know you kind people do, you’ll recall last week when Travis and I discussed how awesome it would be to have a show where Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) traveled across the country investigating “super” crimes ala The X-Files. Well, it sounds like Stephen Ford was listening as well. After tweeting the idea the writer/director was apparently contacted regarding fleshing the story out, his exact quote was; “Uh. Wow. So. We might have actually opened some doors on my Jimmy Woo X-Files idea”. Now, I’m fully aware that Ford didn’t steal the idea from us, honestly it’s almost a no-brainer Park’s Jimmy Woo has been astounding in every scene he’s occupied since Ant-Man and The Wasp, the character is so unique that it’s hard to nail down. He’s not exactly deadpan but also never over-excited while still seeming like a 10-year old boy. Well, Mr. Ford, Imma do you one better. Given the personalities it would either be genius or an absolute disaster, but hear me out. At the end of WandaVision Darcy gives him a business card of someone that he may be interested in talking to. He calls the number and next thing he knows he’s riding shotgun investigating crimes with none other then Phil Coulson behind the wheel. The MCU’s favorite sidekicks together as one kick-ass team!
Honestly, even 2 years ago I would have said this would never happen but Disney+ has slots to fill and Marvel has now proven that they can make even the most outlandish ideas work. I pray that Stephen Ford has success, if not for the idea itself being awesome then for Randall Park who’s one of those guys that you just want to root for and see succeed.

I'm spending the weekend writing the pitch.
Can't express how much of an underdog I am in this scenario so get too excited but cross your fingers and thanks to everyone who made it possible. pic.twitter.com/cEEIz7WSlY
