‘The Brave & The Bold’: Batman And Robin DCU Film Lands ‘The Flash’ Writer Christina Hodson

For months, questions have swirled around James Gunn’s DCU project The Brave & the Bold. While director Andy Muschietti revealed the film had been delayed, there was some doubt whether Muschietti was even still involved with it, considering the failure of his previous DC movie, The Flash. Well, it seems things are proceeding ahead. And not only that, but Muschitti will be reunited with The Flash screenwriter, Christina Hodson.

THR confirms that Christina Hodson will script The Brave & the Bold for DC Studios chiefs James Gunn and Peter Safran. Muschietti is still attached to direct the film about Bruce Wayne/Batman and his young son, Damian Wayne, who is being molded to become the next Robin. In the comics, Damian is a psychopath so we’ll have to see if that trait remains.

Hodson is no stranger to DC projects and blockbuster franchises. Along with The Flash, she also wrote the vastly underrated Birds of Prey, as well as Transformers spinoff, Bumblebee.

All that remains now is to cast the DCU version of Batman, as well as Damian Wayne, whose mother is the infamous assassin Talia al Ghul, so presumably there will need to be someone for that role, too.
