Phil Brooks aka CM Punk is the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and will be heading into WarGames where he’ll probably be beaten up bloody. However, he’s also got a new vampire horror movie on the way, Night Patrol, a Shudder flick involving a bunch of bloodsucking LA cops. Based on this new trailer, ol’ Cookie Monster Phil is one of those bad apples that spoil the bunch.
Directed by Ryan Prows, Night Patrol features an eclectic cast that includes Jermaine Fowler, Justin Long, CM Punk, RJ Cyler, Freddie Gibbs, YG, Flying Lotus, Dermot Mulroney, Jon Oswald, and Nicki Micheaux. You’ve got a mix of rappers, wrestlers, producers, comedians, and actors so this should be a lot of fun.
SYNOPSIS: An LAPD officer must put aside his differences with the area’s street gangs when he discovers a local police task force is harboring a horrific secret that endangers the residents of the housing projects he grew up in.
It’s another major movie role for CM Punk, who also voices a key role in Disney’s Zootopia 2 next week.
RLJE and Shudder will release Night Patrol in theaters on January 16th 2026.
