Are you ready to return to Oz? Universal Pictures‘ Wicked was a massive success, winning two Academy Awards and earning $756M worldwide, not to mention capturing the hearts of millions with Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande’s dazzling performances. From the very beginning, the decision was made to divide the Broadway adaptation into two gigantic chapters. Right around the corner is the second half of that story, Wicked: For Good, and one final trailer has been released ahead of its arrival.
Erivo and Grande return as Elphaba and Glinda, as they find their friendship tested by the wildly divergent path their lives have taken. In the footage, we also see the arrival of Dorothy, the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion.
Jon M. Chu returns as director, along with screenwriters Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox, adapting the Broadway musical. The impressive ensemble returns, as well, withJeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, Bronwyn James, and Marissa Bode.
