‘The Accountant 2’ Trailer: Ben Affleck And Jon Bernthal Get Down To Action Later This Month

It’s taken nearly a decade, but the franchise hopes for Ben Affleck’s The Accountant have finally come to fruition. Later this month, The Accountant 2 finds Affleck returning as  the guy you call when you need someone killed but also your taxes done. There’s a reason Amazon MGM is holding special sneak peek screenings on Tax Day, April 15th. Pretty clever.

The sequel puts Affleck side-by-side with Jon Bernthal, who returns as Christian Wolff’s brother, Brax, who is just as dangerous. Also returning are Cynthia Addai-Robinson and JK Simmons, joined by Daniella Pineda and Allison Robertson.

Creatively, the entire team is back again and that includes director Gavin O’Connor and screenwriter Bill Dubuque.

SYNOPSIS: Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) has a talent for solving complex problems. When an old acquaintance is murdered, leaving behind a cryptic message to “find the accountant,” Wolff is compelled to solve the case. Realizing more extreme measures are necessary, Wolff recruits his estranged and highly lethal brother, Brax (Jon Bernthal), to help. In partnership with U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), they uncover a deadly conspiracy, becoming targets of a ruthless network of killers who will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried.

The Accountant 2 hits theaters on April 25th.
